【Article 1】Repose of Souls in Sendai (from Lang-8)


(1) The day has come. There were many events about the repose of souls in Sendai. In the afternoon, we went to Kotodai Koen Park to attend an event. We wrote a message of thanks to thank you for your support. In the evening, we lighted one candle.

(2) Arigato means “thank you from the bottom of our heart“. My son urged me to join hands among those who went there. We reconfirmed the bonds of survivors to the many victims.

【Article 2】What We Must Do (from Lang-8)


(1) It has been one year since the huge disaster in Eastern Japan.
There are several things that we must do. First of all, we must continue to help the victims.

(2) Secondly, we must appreciate everyone who helps the victims. Some volunteered to help them in the disaster area, the others donated money to them. Moreover, some victims of the disaster helped other victims and now they live helping each other.

(3) Finally, we must understand how things are going at the nuclear plant.

【Article 3】We Live in the Same Earth (from Lang-8)


(1) It’s been one year since the triple disasters happened. Our living environment has completely changed. Some people lost their loved ones; others lost their homes and jobs.

(2) Since that day, I’ve been thinking what I can do as Japanese and what I should do. On March 11 this year, I decided to go to the disaster area. I went there to make sure what was going on.

(3) When I got off the bus, I saw a veritable mountain of rubble. The once bustling town still remains eerily quiet. I wasn’t able to believe the situation, I was just speechless. But that was reality.

(4) I spoke to the locals there as much as possible. They kindly answered my questions. Then I found a lot of seed of hope. Finally, I could recognize anew that we Japanese are resilient people.

(5) We’ve gotten countless kindness, hearty supports, and donations so far. We really appreciate it. I think, the most important thing is not to forget that day. We should never give up. We are just about to stand up. We want people all over the world to know it.
